What we do
We build cloud platforms for organisations that need real cloud infrastructure on their own terms — for regulatory reasons, commercial reasons, or both.
Our customers fall into a few buyer profiles, each matched by a platform:
- Hosting providers, MSPs and regional clouds (Public Cloud Platform) — providers modernising beyond VPS and adding managed Kubernetes, databases, object storage and GPU to their price list
- National clouds, telcos and other operators at scale (Public Cloud Platform) — multi-region commercial clouds
- Regulated enterprises (Private Cloud Platform) — banks, insurers, public administration, telcos and healthcare replacing VMware under DORA, NIS2 and sovereignty mandates; developer self-service is included
- AI-heavy organisations and GPU clouds (AI Platform) — companies running inference and training on their own GPUs, and providers selling GPU capacity
Plus enterprise support for Cozystack for teams running the open-source project on Hetzner, OVH or leased bare metal who want the maintainers on call.
Every support tier includes the proprietary Ænix commercial modules (billing system and WHMCS integration). The price list, from $1,250 per month per 10 nodes, is the Ænix Public Cloud Platform subscription; a team running Cozystack itself buys the same subscription and can simply leave the commercial modules unused. Why open core
We created Cozystack as an open-source CNCF project because cloud infrastructure that aims to be sovereign, auditable and customer-controlled must be built on a foundation customers can verify and own:
- Auditable end-to-end — an open-source supply chain you can assess under DORA Article 28 (ICT third-party risk) and NIS2 Article 21(2)(d) (supply-chain security)
- Customer-controlled — your hardware, your jurisdiction, your encryption and retention policies
- Vendor-neutral at the foundation — no architectural lock-in to Ænix
- Long-horizon viable — the Apache 2.0 licence outlives any single commercial vendor
The Ænix platforms are the commercial layer for organisations that need a complete cloud product (hosting panel, billing, portals, payments, support, productized installer) without building it themselves. The open-source foundation remains free for anyone to run.
This is the open-core model, as with Confluent on Kafka or GitLab CE/EE: the open project keeps its integrity, and the commercial product adds billing, portals, support and delivery on top.
Cozystack and CNCF
Cozystack is a CNCF Sandbox project. Its CNCF Incubation application, filed in October 2025, is in due diligence with the CNCF Technical Oversight Committee.

Per CNCF community norms, cozystack.io stays vendor-neutral — no commercial calls to action and no funnel links to aenix.io. The boundary protects long-term community trust.

Our story
We started as a team of platform engineers building cloud infrastructure for service providers and regulated enterprises. The pattern we kept seeing: customers wanted a real cloud (multi-tenant, billing, portals, GPU, managed services) but did not want hyperscaler dependency or VMware lock-in. The existing open-source options (raw Kubernetes, OpenStack at scale) required years of platform-engineering investment most customers couldn’t make.
So we built Cozystack — a Kubernetes-native multi-tenant cloud platform — as the foundation we wished we’d had years earlier. It became a CNCF project. Then we built the commercial layer on top, as three platforms matched to who consumes the capacity.
Cozystack runs in production at hosting providers and regional clouds, and Ænix delivers platform engagements for banks under NDA. Nine case studies are published with architecture and figures, anonymised where contracts require it.
How we engage
Ænix engagements typically follow this sequence:
- Discovery call (free, 30 min) — confirm fit, scope, regulatory context and which platform matches
- Platform Readiness Assessment (14 days focused or 28 days full, fixed price) — current-state audit, gap analysis, platform recommendation, migration roadmap
- Launch or build — Public Cloud Platform at provider scale goes live in weeks once hardware is ready, with the productized installer. Private Cloud Platform: a 3–12 month build depending on scope. Multi-region national or operator programmes: a 3–6 month pilot, then 9–18 months to full multi-region
- Managed operations (ongoing retainer) — optional after deployment
For governments and sovereign cloud builders, engagements run through public-sector procurement (RFI / RFP) and are priced through the procurement process itself.

Customer evidence
