Ænix Certification for Cozystack · preparation

CCF exam materials

Seven lessons and a cheat sheet — exactly what the exam asks about, and nothing beyond it. One evening to read, reinforced by the labs.

This is not a Kubernetes textbook and not a retelling of the documentation. It is seven lessons on exactly the topics the exam asks about — with the same weights it has in the program. Plus an eighth cheat-sheet page: tables, numbers and a day-by-day preparation plan.

Every lesson is built the same way: first an explanation, then a diagram, and at the end — exactly what from it will show up in the questions, plus links to documentation sections if you want to dig deeper.

The order is not accidental: the first two topics make up almost half of the exam, and they are where to start. The other five weigh ten percent each, and you cannot skip them — six questions are enough to fall short of the threshold.

How long it takes. About an hour and a half for all seven lessons and the cheat sheet if you read them straight through — one evening. Plus the labs, if you want hands-on practice — but the exam does not require them.

Is this enough to pass. The materials cover what is asked: we checked them against the set of practice questions, and the answer to nine out of ten is right there in the lessons. The rest are rare details that are quicker to look up in the documentation via the links at the end of each lesson than to memorize in advance.

Download it all. A PDF with all the lessons — the same seven lessons and cheat sheet, the same layout, readable offline. Prefer the browser? The print-friendly page with all lessons prints to the same file.

A Russian version of these materials is at /ru/certification/materials/, with its own PDF.

Kubernetes fundamentals are covered briefly in the last lesson: the exam asks about terms but does not require you to be able to administer a cluster. If you have never dealt with it, start with the official Kubernetes documentation, and come back here afterwards.

1 What Cozystack is made of
Three layers, four installation variants, and why the platform is just another set of Kubernetes objects.
2 Tenants and access
How the platform divides itself among tenants, where quotas come from, and why a tenant is more than just a namespace.
3 Managed applications catalog
What you can order from the platform, what happens after you click the button, and why it is always the same mechanism.
4 Virtual machines
How a virtual machine becomes an ordinary Kubernetes workload, why the disk is separate from the machine, and where the honest limits are.
5 Networking
Four components, each with its own job: who carries packets inside, who separates tenant networks, who hands out external addresses and who lets HTTP in.
6 Observability and backups
Who collects metrics and logs, where to look at them, and how a backup differs from fault tolerance.
7 How it all actually works
Desired state, operators and GitOps — the four ideas everything else rests on.
8 Cheat sheet
One page for the whole exam: what is responsible for what, what it gets swapped for in the answer options, and how to prepare day by day.
